Although rarely seen (or heard) in the UK, these particular Luxman amplifiers have achieved reference status amongst discerning music lovers throughout the world.
Luxman's patented ODNF circuitry claims to have redefined the relationship between music signals and noise and does not use phase compensation or NFB loops in the path of music signals, instead it accurately isolates distortion components to cancel them.
We're convinced Luxman have achieved something special with these models, there's an immediate and authoritative musical presence that doesn't require hours of familiarisation to appreciate. The L 509f in particular is hugely impressive, it gives away almost nothing when auditioned alongside some vastly more expensive amplifier combinations and we now place it equal top of our list of favourite integrated amplifiers.
